Hi, I’m Dianne

I was born in a small rural town in central Kentucky, the youngest of 3 children. At a very early age, I started Astro Projecting to escape the conflicts around me. I didn’t fit in with my family and created my own path as much as possible. In high school I was very outgoing, acting, band, public speaking, sports, editor, but I had just a few friends. Ken and I met at a speech tournament and fell deeply in love and living 200 miles apart, we dreamed of the day we would be together. It wasn’t to be so till much later in life. I attended Vanderbilt University in hopes of becoming a doctor but my attention was diverted to theatre and I loved the technical areas as well as performing. Then I landed a role at Dinner Theatre, meeting my first husband, John. We married in 1976 and partnered in running that theatre. I gained so many skills during that time: directing and writing plays, auditioning actors, costume design and creation, marketing, accounting and computer, management and customer service, preparing and serving dinner for 300 people. We did it all with just a handfull of employees. John was a scuba diver extraordinaire so I pushed through my fears and learned to scuba dive and free dive. For a short 3 years in the 80s, we lived on a boat in the Bahamas, swam with sharks, caught our food and water. The most thrilling and profound was swimming with humpback whales, creating memories and knowledge from the best energy workers on the planet. He also was a pilot and so I too learned to fly and achieved my license. Above all else I gained in that marriage, was being a part of raising 3 beautiful stepchildren. That was also the most challenging but so worth it! The marriage ended in 2000. It was an amazing experience but something deep inside said it was time to write a new chapter and soon after, I reconnected with my high school love, Ken. We were finally back in each other’s arms. My first experience with Reiki was during this transitional time and I received a Reiki treatment that sent a bolt of energy through me. I had to know more. My Reiki path began in 2001 when I found Laurelle Gaia’s class. Ken and I attended together which was the only class she taught in South Carolina. In 2002, Laurelle and Michael came back to teach us the Masters class on Folly Beach. That was the same month we acquired our new home – The Pink Dolphin Bed & Breakfast.
